Voluntary certificate of conformity GOST-R.
Certificate of conformity – is a document issued in accordance with the rules of certification system to confirm a compliance of products or services (works) to stipulated requirements, current standards and regulations (GOST, GOST R, GOST R MEK, GOST R ISO and others) for products that are not subject to obligatory certification.
Voluntary certification is held in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation “On Certification of Products and Services” and initiated by applicants (manufacturers, sellers, executors) with the aim to prove conformity of products (services) to requirements of standards, technical regulations, specifications, formulas and other documents, defined by the applicant.
Voluntary certification is held at client’s discretion. However, nowadays large retailers can request a voluntary certificate while buying the product that is not subject to obligatory certification.
