Certificate, proving compliance of automotive vehicles and special vehicles with the requirements of "Certification system of automotive vehicles and trailers", which serves as a ground for Vehicle Registration certificate granting by State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate and Customs to a manufacturer (seller) of new vehicles for their further sale or registration.
Vehicle type approval – is a Russian document, allowing to import and to perform customs clearance of foreign-made commercial vehicles. The main point is that possessing of Vehicle Type Approval assures the conformity of a vehicle to GOST and UNECE regulations, specifying systems’ parameters which can influence safety operation such as brake systems, hydraulic equipment of dump trucks, content of hazardous substances in a driver’s cabin, level of internal and external noise produced by a vehicle, lightning devices and emergency signals, correct location and fixing of safety belts.
