Permission for import (export) of ozone-depleting products.
The permission for import (export) of ozone-depleting products is a document permitting the applicant to import products containing ozone-depleting substances to the territory of the RF and export them from the territory of the RF.
Import (export) of ozone-containing products is lawfully regulated by the Decree of the Government of the RF of May 8, 1996 ¹563 ‘On regulation of import of ozone-depleting substances and products containing them into the Russian Federation and their export from the Russian Federation’, adopted for the purpose of the decree of the Government of the RF of May 24, 1995 ¹526 ‘On high-priority measures of execution of the Vienna Convention on the ozone layer protection’ and the Montreal protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
The list of ozone-containing products requiring permission for import (export) of ozone-depleting products is regulated in the ‘List of ozone-depleting substances whose import into the Russian Federation and export from the Russian federation is subject to governmental regulation’ and the ‘List of products whose import into the Russian federation and export from the Russian Federation is subject to governmental regulation in case they contain ozone-depleting substances’.
At present the permission is granted by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the RF.
